COMPASS Points Estimator

Estimate an Employment Pass application’s COMPASS score against MOM’s four foundational criteria and two bonus criteria. This is a structural estimate based on published scoring rules, not MOM’s own assessment — the exact salary percentile benchmarks are revised each August and vary by sector and age, so confirm the candidate’s C1 band on MOM’s COMPASS page before relying on this for a real application.

How COMPASS scoring works

COMPASS scores every new Employment Pass application against four foundational criteria — salary, qualifications, workforce diversity, and support for local employment — plus two optional bonus criteria for skills shortage roles and economic development partnerships.

The salary criterion moves the most from year to year. It’s benchmarked against a sector- and age-specific percentile that MOM revises every August, so a salary that cleared the bar last year isn’t guaranteed to clear it this year.

A pass requires at least 40 points. C1–C4 contribute up to 80 points combined; C5 and C6 bonus points add on top. This tool cannot verify the actual salary percentile, institution tier, or workforce composition figures — those come from MOM’s own data and your payroll records.
