This tool helps Singapore SMEs plan recurring payroll, CPF and payroll-related administration dates on one calendar. It is a planning aid only — it is not payroll-processing software, tax advice, or confirmation that an employer has met every legal obligation. Each item below is labelled as an official deadline, an employer payroll cycle date, or a recommended operational reminder, and every official deadline links to the CPF Board, IRAS or MOM source it is drawn from.

What this calendar tracks
The calendar covers five recurring categories relevant to a Singapore SME's payroll administration:
- CPF contributions: the monthly due date and the enforcement cut-off, drawn from CPF Board guidance.
- Pay slips: the itemised pay slip issuance rule tied to each pay day, per MOM's requirements.
- Leave and attendance cut-off: a suggested internal cut-off before each pay run so payroll has time to process leave and attendance records — this is an internal operational reminder, not a statutory date.
- IRAS reporting: the annual IR8A / Auto-Inclusion Scheme (AIS) deadline for reporting employment income.
- Work-pass and employee record review: a recommended quarterly reminder to check pass expiry, quota and levy status and general record accuracy — MOM does not mandate a fixed review date, so this is a planning suggestion only.
This first version does not calculate payroll, CPF contributions or tax liabilities, and it does not ask for your UEN, employee salaries, CPF account information, bank details or any employee personal data.
Official deadlines and internal cut-offs are different
Every item the calendar generates is labelled with one of three tags, and the distinction matters:
- Official deadline: a date set by CPF Board, IRAS or MOM, with a link to the source. Missing these can carry statutory consequences such as late payment interest, administrative penalties or enforcement action.
- Employer payroll cycle: a date derived directly from your own pay day, such as when a pay slip is issued.
- Recommended operational reminder: a planning suggestion — such as a leave cut-off or a work-pass review — with no statutory basis. Adjust these to fit how your organisation actually runs payroll.
Your organisation's specific circumstances — headcount, AIS registration status, employee residency mix, work-pass types and payroll software cut-off times — can change which official deadlines apply and how much lead time you need internally. Verify anything statutory against the linked CPF Board, IRAS or MOM page for your situation before treating it as final.
How to keep payroll records organised
- Build the calendar for the coming planning year as soon as your pay day and frequency are confirmed, and re-run it whenever either changes.
- Print or export the dates you need into your own calendar or payroll software — the CSV export contains only the dates and task names you selected, with no personal or salary data.
- Keep pay slip and CPF records for at least the retention periods your other WorkRightSG guides describe (see the itemised pay slip guide below) so you can respond quickly if MOM, CPF Board or IRAS asks questions.
- Review official deadlines at least once a year, and whenever CPF Board, IRAS or MOM announces a rate or process change — rates and thresholds are revised periodically, most recently with CPF's January 2026 Ordinary Wage ceiling step and the confirmed January 2027 contribution-rate changes for older workers.
- Treat this calendar as a planning layer on top of your payroll software or provider, not a replacement for it — it does not process payroll or file anything on your behalf.
If you would rather have reminders like these run automatically, SME Digital Hub, a paid service from the same publisher, offers workflow automation for payroll and admin reminders.
Frequently asked questions
Does this tool calculate my CPF contributions or payroll amounts?
No. This first version only builds a dated calendar of when official deadlines and recommended internal cut-offs fall. It does not calculate CPF contributions, salary or tax, and does not collect your UEN, employee salaries, CPF account information or bank details.
Are the CPF and IRAS deadlines shown here guaranteed to be correct?
The tool links every official deadline to the current CPF Board, IRAS or MOM page it is drawn from, checked on 19 September 2026. Rules, thresholds and processing cut-offs can change, so always confirm against the linked official source before relying on a date for compliance purposes.
What is the difference between an official deadline and an internal cut-off?
An official deadline (CPF, IRAS or MOM) carries statutory consequences if missed. An internal cut-off, such as a leave-and-attendance deadline before payroll processing, is a planning suggestion your organisation can adjust — it has no legal weight on its own.
Does exporting the calendar send my data anywhere?
No. The CSV export is generated in your browser and downloaded directly to your device. It contains only the task names, categories and dates you selected — no personal data, salary figures or account details — and nothing is emailed or transmitted to WorkRightSG or anyone else.
Can I use this for a weekly or custom pay cycle?
You can select weekly or custom frequency, but the tool only generates individual calendar dates for monthly and twice-monthly cycles, since weekly and custom cycles vary too much to date automatically. CPF and IRAS deadlines, which do not depend on pay frequency, are still generated for every frequency.
