NWC recommends 6% to 8% pay rise for lower-wage workers in 2026/2027
The National Wages Council’s 2026/2027 guidelines recommend that workers earning up to S$2,800 a month get a 6% to 8% wage increase or at least S$120, with a new category for firms that have not done well and are unprofitable, which should still give at least S$120. The guidelines, accepted by the Government but not mandatory, cover 1 December 2026 to 30 November 2027.
