EP and S Pass Qualifying Salaries Rise From January 2027

Employment Pass and S Pass qualifying salaries are going up again. MOM has confirmed new minimums that take effect for new applications from January 2027, and for renewals from January 2028.

Employment Pass (EP)

  • General sector: minimum qualifying salary rises from S$5,600 to S$6,000, scaling up to around S$11,500 by the mid-40s age band.
  • Financial services: minimum rises from S$6,200 to S$6,600, scaling up to around S$12,700 by the mid-40s age band.

S Pass

  • General sector: minimum rises from S$3,300 to S$3,600, scaling up to around S$5,100 by the mid-40s age band.
  • Financial services: minimum rises from S$3,800 to S$4,000, scaling up to around S$5,650 by the mid-40s age band.

MOM has also signalled S Pass minimums are projected to reach S$4,000–S$4,500 by 2030, so this isn’t a one-off adjustment — budget for it to keep climbing.

Also announced: the ONE Pass (AI and Tech) track

A new track replacing the existing Tech.Pass launches in January 2027, requiring combined compensation of S$30,000/month (cash and non-cash components such as ESOP/ESOW), with a minimum S$22,500 fixed cash salary.

Full current thresholds are in our Work Passes guide.
